How to use the Daffodil Tab to record plant details
Premium Profiles have an option on their plant profile pages to add a custom tab to their plant pages that have additional fields that are specific to certain types of plants. We call these Custom Plant Tabs. Here is information on the Daffodil Tab.
When you edit your plant pages you will see a custom tab drop-down menu with an option to add a custom tab to that particular plant.
The example below uses Narcissus ‘Rijnveld’s Early Sensation’ by Bill Blevins for an example of the Daffodil Tab in use. Learn more and watch a quick video about how to use Customized Plant Tabs.
For help in determining the information below please see these resources:
- Daffodil Divisions (RHS System of Classification) | American Daffodil Society (ADS)
- ADS Special Categories | American Daffodil Society (ADS)
- DaffSeek – The ADS Daffodil Database
From the ADS: There is no definition or division for a miniature daffodil. In general, it is accepted that miniatures have the same descriptive divisions as standards, only with smaller blooms when exhibited, usually less than 2 inches. NOTES TAB: You can also use the NOTES tab on a plant page to keep private or public information logs on surveys, issues such as storm damage, pest problems, fertilizer or treatment applications, etc. You can also keep NOTES on a Collection.
COMMENTS TAB: You or visitors (with a sign-in) can leave comments, questions, and answers using the COMMENTS tab on a plant page. Encourage the use of this feature in your plant story by inviting visitors to leave a comment or question.
